7 Ways Linen Beats Out Cotton Every-time
(Besides how ridiculously good it feels on your skin)
Fast fashion made us forget what real clothing feels like. Then we put on a properly-cut European linen tee — and every cotton crewneck in the drawer suddenly felt worse to wear. Here's what changed our mind.
It actually fits — like it was tailored to you
Most tees are cut like a paper bag: boxy, shapeless, hoping to fit everyone. Tuscan is cut for an actual body — a clean shoulder, a trim-but-not-tight torso, and a hem that lands exactly where it should. Structured enough to tuck, relaxed enough to wear untucked.
Finally, a tee I don't have to keep tugging into place.

Linen is cooling vs. cotton that sticks to you all day long
Linen is one of the most breathable fibres on earth — its hollow structure moves air and wicks moisture far better than cotton. On a hot day, that's the difference between comfortable and peeling a damp shirt off your back. The fabric Mediterranean summers have relied on for thousands of years, for a reason.
It gets better every single wash
Cotton pills, thins and fades. Polyester just stays plastic. Linen does the opposite — it's the rare fibre that's over 20% stronger when wet, so washing softens it while it holds its shape. Wear after wear it breaks in like a good pair of boots.
The tee you'll still reach for a decade from now.

Zero microplastics. Nothing synthetic.
Every polyester wash sheds microplastics into the water and onto your skin. Tuscan is spun from 100% European flax linen — a plant fibre that's fully biodegradable and grown with a fraction of the water cotton needs. It's OEKO-TEX® certified: independently tested for harmful substances.
Stays fresh — so you wash less
Linen is naturally moisture-wicking and can inhibit the growth of odour-causing bacteria, so it simply stays fresher between wears. Fewer washes, less water, less wear-and-tear — and a shirt that's ready when you are.
One tee, genuinely endless outfits
Under a blazer for the office. With linen trousers for dinner. Thrown on with jeans on the weekend. Tuscan's clean lines and grounded palette slide into whatever you're already wearing — dressed up or dressed down.

You'll buy less — and spend less doing it
A cheap tee that's stretched out in six months isn't cheap — it's expensive, twice a year, forever. Tuscan lasts years, which quietly drops the cost-per-wear below almost anything in your drawer. Better fabric, fewer purchases, less landfill.
Buy better. Buy less. Wear it for a decade.
Real wearers. Real difference.

"Cooler than anything I own"
Wore it through a heatwave and stayed comfortable all day. My cotton tees are basically retired now. The fit is unreal too.
"Gets softer every wash"
I was skeptical linen would break in this nicely. Three months of washing and it's better than day one.
"Dress up or down, it just works"
Under a blazer for work, untucked on the weekend. Bought the cream, came right back for the black.
"Finally, a tee that fits"
Every brand fits me like a tent. First tee in years I didn't have to tailor. The M is perfect.
Frequently asked, all answered.
Doesn't linen wrinkle a lot? +
A little — and that's the point. A soft, lived-in crease is part of linen's character, the way good leather isn't supposed to look plastic-new. A quick steam or a shake out of the dryer smooths it right out.
How should I wash it? +
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang or tumble dry low. Linen softens with every wash and is stronger when wet, so normal laundry only makes it better. No dry cleaning.
What is it made of? +
100% European flax linen — nothing synthetic, no blends. OEKO-TEX® certified, so it's been independently tested to be free of harmful substances. Breathable, biodegradable, microplastic-free.
How do I choose my size? +
The tee is cut true to size with a clean, tailored-but-relaxed fit. Between sizes or prefer it roomier? Size up. Every order is backed by our 30-day guarantee, so swaps are easy.

Why linen?
Linen is the strongest natural fiber in everyday clothing — more breathable than cotton, moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating year-round. And unlike most fabrics, it gets softer every time you wash it.
Is it see-through?
Our tees are cut from a 165 GSM weave. Black tee is fully opaque; Cream tee may show slight translucency in direct sun, like any light natural-fiber tee. We'd rather tell you now than surprise you later. It is not noticeable in most lighting situations.
Why does it cost more than a cotton tee?
Flax is harder to grow and process than cotton, and European flax is the best of the crop. The real math is per wear: cotton pills and bags out, linen softens and will last half of your lifetime. Cheap shirts are expensive when you keep replacing them.
Will it shrink?
Expect around 5% shrinkage — already built into our sizing, so it lands at true size after the first wash. Just skip the hot dryer.
Is linen sustainable?
Flax grows mostly on rainfall, needs far less water than cotton, uses nearly the whole plant, and is fully biodegradable. So yes, it is much better for the environment compared to most fabrics.
How should the linen tee fit?
Slightly tighter/muscular fit. If you're between sizes or want it extra fitted, size down; for a looser, drapier look, size up.
Do you have a size guide?
Yes — check the size chart linked on the product for exact measurements by size.
What is the tee made of?
100% European linen — OEKO-TEX certified and never blended. Breathable, moisture-wicking, and it only gets softer with age.
Will it wrinkle?
Linen creases — that's the character, not a flaw. The relaxed, lived-in look is the point, and most creases fall out as you wear it.
How do I care for it?
Machine wash cold, no fabric softener, hang or tumble dry low. It softens with every wash and lasts for years.
